COMPANY PROFILE

Montecito Capital Management ("MCM") is a wealth enhancement practice offering not only a history of continuity and preservation, but world-class expertise in establishing a customized, flexible financial road map for clients. Notwithstanding impeccable experience and credentials, our financial service platform is open to all: individuals, businesses or institutions in every stage of the financial life cycle.

Montecito Capital Management & its principal, Kipley J. Lytel CFA, have been recognized as the Top 10% of U.S. Financial Advisors based on their competency, integrity, and various risk factors by Paladin Registry.

The Registry helps investors find, evaluate, and select financial advisors. Jack Waymire, Paladin founder and author of Who’s Watching Your Money? The 17 Paladin Principles for Selecting a Financial Advisor said there are two major markets for this service. One is baby boomers who suffered severe losses in their retirement accounts during recent bear markets. The other is current retirees. He says both groups have been flocking to advisors the past few years because they believe the professionals’ expertise will help them win back losses, preserve retirement assets, and produce better results in the future. What they don’t know, based on Paladin research, is that at least 75% of advisors are sales representatives who use expertise as a sales tactic to win investor assets. Waymire said, “That’s why millions of investors change advisors every year. At some point they realize they didn’t hire a real expert for their assets. This usually occurs after their results don’t match the excessive expectations that they were sold.”

The Firm has also been accepted for membership by the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA); the Fee-Only membership requires no compensation conflicts of interest, rigorous education & training criteria, full-scale peer review, fiduciary oath, among other selective screens.

Message from Founding Partner, Kipley J. Lytel, CFA:
"MCM's approach is to tailor solutions to your needs, then apply our vast financial experience to improve the performance of both your portfolio and personal financial goals. MCM applies Modern Portfolio Theory and Prudent Investor guidelines to create and carry out strategies every step of the way. We believe investors are best served through moving investors to the highest investment return frontier given a client's return objective, risk profile and constraints (time, liquidity, taxes, etc). We recognize that today's tumultuous markets require expertise and tools that are often beyond individual investor resources and many broker aims or services. Our goal is a long-term partnership that is a fixed fee-based relationship, generating no conflict of interest such as hidden fees, commissions or account churns."
